Region C: Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Agassiz

The BC Blueberry Council invites growers and industry partners from Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Agassiz, and surrounding communities to attend the Region C Townhall Meeting. This session will include key Council updates, market outlook, and an opportunity to share feedback as we prepare for the upcoming season.

Region B: Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, and Mission

The BC Blueberry Council welcomes growers, packers, processors, and industry stakeholders to the Region B Townhall Meeting. This meeting serves as an opportunity to engage with the Council, receive key industry updates, and discuss challenges affecting growers in the Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, and Mission areas.

Region A: Richmond, Delta, Surrey, and Langley

The BC Blueberry Council invites growers, packers, processors, and industry partners to the Region A Townhall Meeting. This session will provide important updates on Council initiatives, market conditions, and industry priorities for the upcoming season. The meeting will also offer space for open discussion and feedback from the grower community.

This webinar will provide updates on research projects currently being funded by the BC Blueberry Council as well as the Raspberry Industry Development Council and BC Strawberry Grower’s Association. Highlighting results from the 2021 field season, webinar topics will include entomology, pathology, breeding, horticulture, and climate change mitigation research. Agenda to come.

CFA will be hosting their AGM on February 23 - 24, 2022 in Ottawa.

The Canadian Centre for Food Integrity is hosting a public trust summit on October 19 at 11:00 am - 4:00 pm EST. The summit is a forum to learn how to engage and build public trust in the food system.

BCAC is looking forward to hosting an in-person Gala this coming January. The BC Agri-Food Industry Gala is an annual fundraising event hosted by BCAC that brings together farmers, ranchers, agri/aqua-food leaders and industry stakeholders from around the Province to celebrate and discuss agriculture in British Columbia.

Ag Day will be held virtually this year on October 26th and 27th. Ag Day is a series of scheduled meetings between B.C. farmers and ranchers, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, senior government officials and other key stakeholders such as B.C.’s Agriculture Land Commission (ALC).

July 15th is British Columbia’s official BC Blueberry Day and the kick-off to #GoBlueBC, a digital celebration running from July 15th – August 2nd on GoBlueBC.ca.
